And we have a winner, Jane, who was so close after the first hint.

Here are all the hints.

Challenge 2 Hint 1: The plant’s seeds can be roasted as a coffee substitute.

Challenge 2 Hint 2: In medieval times, the plant was used as a stuffing in mattresses.

Challenge 2 Hint 3: The plant’s botanical name comes from words the Greek word gala for “milk,” and the Latin verum for “true.”

Kickstarter Challenge #2 – Queen of the Herbs
almost 2 years ago – Wed, May 18, 2022 at 06:06:28 AM

Here’s your second challenge of the week.

Many of the herbs provide this protection, but the herb we are thinking of is considered the queen of these herbs. Good luck.

The first person to name the right plant will receive a digital copy of our book of dragon fairy tales, Dragons Tales from Eastern Europe.

The contest ends at 9 a.m. Eastern time tomorrow (Thursday, May 19) or when we get a correct answer.

Post your answers in the COMMENTS section of the Kickstarter campaign. Include “KS Challenge 2” in your response.

All of the herbs are ones found in our book. To help you along, we’ve supplied the complete list at the end of this message.

We’ll announce the winners of all the daily contests on Friday, May 20.

We’ll provide hints throughout the day, so be sure to look for them. Submit answers up to 10 times. Only 1 herb per each submission. First hint will be posted within an hour.
